Auto Logic is and has always been the best and most trusted auto shop in Chapel Hill. As usual, the service was stellar, and Marianne went out of her way to make sure that my car was left in an easily accessible location to help me with my mobility issues. I truly appreciated that. Daughter has had 2 separate electrical issues on 2 Rav4's that others misdiagnosed. The techs here found very simple fixes by doing a full diagnostic. Second time turned out to be a very simple, but easily overlooked battery connection that manifested as a mechanical issue that shut the car down. Daughter's a student at UNC & we've had awful experiences with mechanics throwing parts cannons at our vehicles in our home town. AutoLogic called me (worried dad), ran me through the codes & got her back on the road the next day. Same situation played out for her prior vehicle. They diagnosed a simple battery issue that another shop was ready to fire the parts cannon at.

Dealership asked me to spend several thousands dollars to replace some suspension parts when I went there for regular maintenance last week. I spoke with Marianne and have Auto logic check it again. Auto Logic was a great choice when it came to my auto repair. I had been dealing with a check engine light for months and decided to take it in to them. They were accurate with diagnosing my vehicle, and provided detailed updates with photos every step of the way. The service was completed promptly and at a fair price for their expertise labor. I could tell they knew what they were doing. Not once did they try to upsell me on something I "might" need, as does another well known local auto shop. They quickly diagnosed the problem at hand and completed the repair. Additionally, each of their staff members were very friendly. I will definitely be returning to Auto Logic for any future repairs.

The most reliable place in the area!! I've been coming here since I was in at UNC & someone recommended them to work on my old Honda. Always friendly, plus you get to talk to the technician that worked on your car after their diglanosis. Most recently helped me with some spark plug/coil issues in my Hyundai.

My 2003 Highlander's engine stopped running while in transit, stranding me on the side of the road. I called Autologic from the road, and Marianne told me who to call for a tow to the shop. The tow truck arrived in 30 min. In the next few days Autologic worked me into their full schedule and solved the issue in a cost effective manner. The car is now running well! Many thanks to Autologic for their helpful, honest, and excellent service!

I've been bringing my cars here for years and it's the only place I use, even for basic maintenance. Their repair and maintenance work is absolutely top notch, and they always explain clearly in advance what's needed and what the costs will be. The service technicians can handle both my 2013 Toyota Tacoma and my very fussy 2015 VW Jetta - they keep both in excellent shape. I've recommended Auto Logic to many friends and co-workers over the years - they're honest, reliable, and work to an extremely high standard.

Wonderful and timely service each time. UPDATE: still wonderful and timely service, but they’re also really kind because my car is rather shiiite and they never make a fuss about it. They’re very fair and honest! Second update: still amazing, still fair! I wasn’t sure why I was getting an oil leak and they took their time to fix everything and get me running again!

I highly recommend the folks at Auto Logic! They are kind, thorough, and transparent. Daniel clearly explained the repair needed to fix my A/C and answered all my questions. The prices were slightly higher than I was quoted elsewhere but it was worth it for the speedy, diligent, and respectful service!

Used Auto Logic (AL) to examine a Toyota I was purchasing from Carvana. Easy to make an appointment, AL explained what they would do ahead of time, kept me updated during the process. Only complaint is I wish they had more space over on Main Street in Carrboro!

Highly recommended! I had an excellent experience at Auto Logic. I have visited seven shops in the area over the last few years. Auto Logic and one other shop stand apart compared to the rest. I cannot comment on the high costs that other customers mention. However, the service they provided was well worth the cost in my experience. I spoke with Daniel at the end of the service, and he was very helpful. The summary of the issues and his explanations of them made me feel confident in the shop. I felt comfortable asking for him to explain the issues more so that I could understand better and make the right choice for me.

I appreciated the way they were able to diagnose my truck's air conditioner issue. It has been running fine since I had it taken In and seen to. In this weather it is a blessing. The communication was very informative and helpful. And I especially appreciate that even though they had a very full list of people with appointments, I still was able to have the truck analyzed because of MaryAnne's courtesy in recognizing that the schedule changes during the day meant they would have time to look at it. That was also a blessing.

I just moved to the area from out of state, and needed a new mechanic. Another mechanic's shop had told me it would be 3 days before they could get to my car, so I looked around for a different one. Auto Logic got my car all fixed up. They are very transparent about pricing and diagnosing what's wrong with the car. Daniel was great, and Maryann was so nice! I will definitely be bringing my car back here for any issues that come up in the future.

I called Auto Logic after getting an alarming recommendation and an enormously expensive quote from a different garage. The other garage told me my car was not safe to drive unless they serviced their recommendation after I brought it in for a totally unrelated service and had experienced no issues with the vehicle. Scott was candid and helpful from the moment he answered the phone and got me in that same afternoon for a second opinion because he took my concern seriously. Not only were they able to assess my vehicle and assure me that it was perfectly fine AND safe to drive, but they were kind and understanding as well! Scott and Marianne helped me get my day back on track and avoid overly expensive and unnecessary work because they value customer time and trustworthiness. Businesses like this with good people are worth every ounce of support for the quality services they provide. Even though I didn’t need service on my vehicle this time, next time I do, I will be heading to Auto Logic!

Reliable work, but overpriced by 20% - 30%. If you need the work done quickly and you need it done well, this is a good option. If you have a bit more time to deal with the repair I would recommend shopping around for other reliable shops providing the same quality service at a significantly lower cost. Try Swedish Imports for Saab vehicles. Automotion for Audi, BMW, Vokswagen, Mercedes. A Better Wrench for Mercedes. Chapel Hill Tire for tires and wheels. Wasp automotive for Toyota, Lexus, Suburu, Honda, Acura, Mazda. Christian Brothers Automotive as a general option. And if you need muffler or exhaust work specifically, Bob's Radiator & Muffler, he will cut and weld in sections where other mechanics charge you to replace the entire exhaust system.
